Materials and Supplies:
- Notebook for class notes Pencils Student Planner for
Assignments
- Blue or black pens Folder Responsibility for issued

- Loose-leaf paper for homework
Rules:
- Students and teachers will exhibit mutual respect at all
times. (Choose your attitude.)
- Students and teachers will come to class prepared to
learn, and will put forth their best efforts academically.
(Be there!)
- Students and teacher will be respectful of the classroom
learning environment at all times. (Make their day,
appropriate play.)
Homework Policies:
- Homework is due at the beginning of the period.
- Students are responsible for work assigned in class
during their absences.
- It is the student’s responsibility to request missing
assignments from the teachers.
- Students will have one day to complete work for each day
they have an excused absence from class.
- Late work will be accepted, but the grade will be
reduced by 20% for each day it is late.
Cheating:
- If a student or students are caught cheating or
plagiarizing, the student or students will receive a zero on
the assignment, test, quiz, paper, project, etc., in
question.
- If the student or students are caught cheating a second
time, they will be referred to the dean’s office and parents
will be contacted.
Student Responsibilities:
- Arriving to the classroom on time. (The BHS tardy policy
will be enforced.)
- Bringing all necessary materials to class.
- Completing all assignments and being prepared for class.
- Contributing to class discussions.
- Respecting the educational environment.
Consequences for Misbehavior:
- First offense—student will receive a verbal warning.
- Second offense—student will serve a before school or
after school detention with the teacher, which will include
a private conference with student and teacher.
- Third offense—teacher will telephone student’s
parents/guardians. The teacher may also refer the matter to
the dean’s office.
- Fourth offense—student will receive a referral to the
dean’s office.
Grading Scale:
A = 90-100%
B = 80-89%
C = 70-79%
D = 60-69%
E = 0-59%
