Info about the Final Exam

The Final Exam will be a series of challenge questions and simulations to these groups.  You will get the final at the beginning of the period, then have time to work on your groups response to it.

Groups can choose to go head to head with another group on some of the items. If you do this, the group that gives the better answer gets a bonus point.  Both groups can still get credit for answering the challenge correctly, but the bonus point will only be awarded to the best answer, if there is one. (Mr. Pahl, who will act as the UN, will decide if there is a best answer…)

Expect FINAL Challenges on:

·      The major concepts from Chapters 22, 23 and 24 in Strayer

·      The Aging of Planet Earth handout

·      Some Failed State questions

·      Each one of the assigned Upfront readings

·      Ability to simulate Realist, Liberal and Marxist perspectives in diplomacy, outlook

·      Ability to explain political cartoons, showing an understanding of world conflicts…

·      Ability to apply the world paradigms we have studied to specific scenarios

·      Understanding the two sides in a conflict.

·      Taking a position for which you can make a reasoned defense based on current global realities.

·      Understanding and being able to use all the various paradigms we have looked at for understanding the modern world
